Forging is the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces. Forging is often classified according to the temperature at which it is performed: '"cold," "warm," or "hot" forging.  Heat Station equipment provides an excellent heat source for the forging of rod ends and other components. Fast heat up to forging temperature without open flame and heat is located only in the area to be worked.  Solenoid coils are the most efficient for the purpose but Heat Station equipment can also be set up as a mini forge by heating a susceptor and placing parts inside or coils can be shaped to allow easy drop down insertion by an operator.
