ControlsAll Heat Station controls work on the basis of turning power on and off or varying power level. On/off control is by means of a contact closure (+12 volts supplied by the power supply). Power control is on the basis of a 0 to 10 volt analog input. Controls range fom simple foot pedal on/off at power to closed loop process control and process verification through a PLC. Control by temperature is also possible using a thermocouple or infrared pyrometer.
Control Cable
Sold in 3, 6, or 8 wire configurations. 3 wire turns the unit on and off at full output or at a factory set output level. 6 wire interfaces with a PLC for on/off and power control. 8 wire adds a process verification function by returning a signal which measure power in the output circuit.
Foot Pedal
Used for manual heating operations. Depressing pedal turns the unit on at full power. Releasing the spring loaded pedal turns off. Also used with a timer power control or touch screen controller to initiate a cycle. (Recommended for heat times of 3 seconds or less)
Twin Foot Pedal
Used with a timer power control or touch screen controller to initiate a cycle. Depressing ON pedal starts the cycle. Cycle will automatically time out unless the OFF pedal is depressed to end the cycle early.
Power Control Foot Pedal
Depressing the pedal slightly turns the unit on at low power. Works like the gas pedal on an automobile, full down is full power. Simply let up on the spring loaded pedal to reuce power and turn off. Easy to use, intuitive heat control leaving the operators hands free.
ON/OFF Pushbutton Station
Used with a timer power control or touch screen controller to initiate a cycle. Depressing ON button starts the cycle. Cycle will automatically time out unless the OFF button is depressed to end the cycle early.
Time and Power Controller
A multifunction timer with LCD display allows cycle to be set in minutes or down to tenths of a second. A digital potentiometer sets power from 0 to 99%. Used with twin foot pedal, ON/OFF pushbutton station, or between a PLC and the power supply to allow cycle time/power changes outside of the PLC.
Dual Time and Power Controllers
A multifunction timer with LCD display allows cycle to be set in minutes or down to tenths of a second. A digital potentiometer sets power from 0 to 99%. Used in combination with the Time and Power Controller to allow two power levels in a single cycle.
Touch Screen Controller
A color touch screen with built in PLC allows multiple power levels in a single timed cycle. Multiple heating profiles can be stored in a menu type display. Accepts temperature or control inputs for process control and outputs for alarms or process control elements.
