The Heat Station 2500RC is a versatile 2.5 KW medium frequency induction heater which can be set up as a benchtop unit  or can be wall mounted or machine mounted using the detachable flanges.  The included output transformer which is attached by a flexible cable allows mounting of the heating output on manual fixtures, slides, lifts, or other mechanisms. Two time and power levels can be set on the front panel which also features start and stop buttons. Remote push button station,  foot pedal, limit switch controls, or temperature controls can be plugged into the side mounted control jack.  The unit is easily changed over for control by a PLC with a board mounted switch.  The PLC can control on/off by closing a 12 VDC circuit from the power supply and modulate output power based on a 0 - 10 VDC analog output from the PLC.  The power supply provides a 0 - 2.5 VDC output to the PLC which serves to verify that a correct load is present and that power is delivered as demanded.  The voltage level tracks the output in watts. Heating is repeatable to ± o.5 %.

       The Heat Station 2500R features a range of safety features including over temperature, over current, and over voltage protection as well as an electronic water flow switch with visible indication of flow, input circuit breaker, fast fuse on the output circuit, and adjustable load sensor circuit.

       Heating coils are available in a variety of custom configurations and coatings. Accessory items such as water recirculators  are available as well as recommended coolants or water additives. Water cooling is demanded due to the high amperage in the heating coil which surrounds the hot workpiece.    Clean plant water or city water source can also be used.  A water pressure of 40 - 100  psi and temperature of 60-100 F is recommended.  Flow rate is between 0.25 and 0.62 gpm depending on coil and pressure.
